VCyber Lab is a research unit under the Institute for Research and Application of Digital Transformation, established with the mission of pioneering the development of advanced security technologies, adapting to cybersecurity challenges in the digital transformation era, which is strongly influenced by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing. With the orientation of becoming a leading research center in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.
Main function: to serve as a hub for researching and developing advanced information technology solutions, helping enterprises and organizations optimize operations and achieve effective digital transformation. The center conducts and implements research on AI, Big Data, IoT, Blockchain, and other breakthrough technologies, aiming to create comprehensive solutions that support the growth of the technology sector in Vietnam and internationally.
Core missions:
Security solution research: Members of VCyber Lab conduct research and testing of security solutions (pen testing, vulnerability scanning) for IoT products, systems, and software to ensure security features.
Applying AI in security: Researching solutions to apply artificial intelligence in security monitoring systems, enabling automatic and efficient detection and prevention of cyber threats.
Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC): Researching and designing cryptographic algorithms resistant to quantum attacks, ensuring the safety of digital infrastructure against threats from quantum computers. Typical research directions: hybrid cryptosystems suitable for the transition to the quantum era, quantum-safe cryptography for IoT/cloud computing, blockchain, secure communication protocols, and data protection.
Security vulnerability analysis and assessment: VCyber Lab supports the Center in identifying vulnerabilities in software and IoT systems, helping to develop effective security solutions.
Blockchain research in data security: Developing secure blockchain models to support transparent and decentralized data management. Applications of blockchain include privacy protection, identity authentication, traceability, and anti-counterfeiting. Combining Blockchain and AI to create autonomous and reliable security monitoring systems.
