MSc. Do Ba Dan

Distinguished Applied Scientist

President of IDT Institute

Mr. Do Ba Dan is a distinguished applied scientist with over 19 years of experience in scientific research, technology innovation, and digital transformation. He has played a pivotal role in shaping numerous technology platforms that support enterprise management, e-government, and national digital transformation initiatives.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Engineering and Technology – Vietnam National University, Hanoi. He also holds several prestigious international certifications.

Through his applied research projects, many technological solutions have been successfully implemented in practice — spanning intelligent transportation systems (ITS), electronic toll collection (ETC), education, healthcare, e-government, and national data management systems, among others.

In addition to his scientific and technological achievements, in 2007, Mr. Do Ba Dan was awarded First Prize in the “Vietnamese Talent Awards”, recognizing him as one of Vietnam’s outstanding technology experts. 

Dr. Hoang Quoc Viet

Member of the Scientific Council

With nearly 10 years of experience in digital transformation and technology application, Dr. Hoang Quoc Viet currently serves as Head of the General Business Department at the National Barcode Center (NBC). In this role, he has made significant contributions to the development of product traceability and barcode services. He has participated in major national projects related to standardization, barcoding, and traceability—particularly in operating and integrating systems with the National Product and Goods Traceability Portal. Dr. Viet is also an active member of national technical standard committees for barcoding and traceability, contributing to the formulation and implementation of national standards in digital transformation for product and goods management.

Dr. Viet has a strong academic background. After earning his Ph.D. in South Korea, he continued his research career as an Assistant Professor at Dongguk University. His notable achievements include multiple research publications and co-owned patents, among which his work on photoelectric materials, published in the world’s leading scientific journal Energy & Environmental Science (IF 2023: 32.4), stands out. In addition, he has numerous publications in prestigious scientific journals and several registered patents in the field of advanced materials and digital technologies. 

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy

Member of the Scientific Council

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy is currently the Head of the Research and Development Department at the National Barcode Center (NBC). In this role, he has contributed to major research projects related to product traceability, electronic labeling, and technologies supporting the development of a circular economy and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, Dr. Thuy is recognized as one of the leading experts in developing national standards, particularly in renewable energy, electric vehicles, and agri-solar technologies.

Dr. Thuy has extensive experience in scientific research. After earning his Ph.D. in South Korea, he worked at the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT), where he published numerous research papers in prestigious scientific journals, enriching the fields of petrochemical and chemical technology.

As a Member of the Scientific Council at IDT Institute, Dr. Thuy brings deep expertise in technology, standards, and quality management, contributing to the digital transformation of enterprises in the field of product and goods management. 

Eng. Pham Ha Duy

Smart Transportation Expert

As the valedictorian of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Eng. Pham Ha Duy has over 10 years of experience in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), with deep expertise in technology-driven traffic management solutions. He is currently a research expert at the Institute of Digital Transformation Research and Application (IDT) and serves as Director of the iTech Center under Tri Nam Group JSC — a leading organization implementing large-scale smart transportation projects nationwide.

He has participated in the development of major systems such as the National Toll Monitoring System, the Phap Van – Cau Gie ETC project (46 toll gates), and provided consultancy and implementation for ITS/ETC projects at multiple stations including Toan My 14, Hoang Mai, Tan De, My Loc, 188 Hai Duong, Yen Lenh, Ninh Loc, and An Dan, among others.

With a strong technical foundation and an innovative mindset, he actively contributes to research, consultancy, and digital solution deployment at IDT Institute — aiming to build an integrated Smart Transportation ecosystem aligned with Vietnam’s urban digital transformation goals.

MSc. Tran Trong Nghia

System Infrastructure Expert (SI)

MSc. Tran Trong Nghia is a research expert at the IDT Institute and currently works at Tri Nam Group JSC as a System Infrastructure Engineer (SI), with over 15 years of experience in IT system integration. His expertise spans IoT sensor network applications, RFID for electronic toll collection (ETC), network and big data infrastructure integration, and camera-based traffic violation detection solutions.

He has participated in several major projects such as the Interregional Data Center for the Mekong Delta, data-driven analytics and decision-support systems integrating large databases including Social Welfare, and digital transformation initiatives in Long Biên District.

With extensive hands-on experience and strong technological insight, he actively contributes to research and digital solution development at the IDT Institute, aiming to advance sustainable and efficient digital infrastructure. 

Eng. Nguyen Minh Tuan

E-learning System Expert

Graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2005, Eng. Nguyen Minh Tuan has over 18 years of experience in developing and implementing online training systems. He is currently the Director of Tri Nam Educational Technology JSC.

He has been involved in building E-learning platforms for numerous major organizations, including Viettel Group, Bao Viet, Sun Group, Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam National University, and various companies within the Vingroup ecosystem.

With deep expertise in digital learning technologies and extensive practical experience, he actively contributes to consulting and developing E-learning solutions, fostering digital transformation in the education and training sectors. 

Eng. Nguyen Tien Hung

Expert in Public Service Traceability Systems

With 5 years of experience in product traceability and public service digitalization, Eng. Nguyen Tien Hung has participated in implementing several key national projects at Tri Nam Group JSC.

His notable projects include the development of the National Product and Goods Traceability Portal, internal software systems, data digitization and training for government agencies and organizations, as well as building digital platforms and databases for the management, preservation, and promotion of cultural heritage values.

With strong professional expertise and extensive practical experience, he contributes significantly to advancing digital technology applications in public administration and fostering the development of smart, data-driven public services. 

Eng. Nguyen Van Ban

Database Systems Expert

As an engineer with over 15 years of specialized experience in database system design, implementation, and optimization, Eng. Nguyen Van Ban currently serves as a research expert at the IDT Institute and Director of the Database Development Center at Tri Nam Group JSC.

He has led the development of large-scale database management systems serving key sectors such as education, e-government, social welfare, and labor management. With deep expertise in major database platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL, combined with advanced integration skills, he ensures that the systems he designs achieve exceptional performance, high security, and scalable flexibility.

With a systematic mindset and an innovative spirit, he actively engages in research and the development of intelligent data storage and analytics solutions at the IDT Institute. His significant contributions are driving digital transformation efforts and supporting the growth of a sustainable digital economy. 

Eng. Le Thanh Lam

Digital Technology Expert: AI, Big Data, Blockchain

Eng. Le Thanh Lam is an engineer with over 20 years of experience in information technology, specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and Blockchain. He currently serves as a research expert at the IDT Institute and is the Director of the CoreTech Center at Tri Nam Group JSC.

He was the First Prize Winner of the “Vietnam Talent Awards” in the field of Information Technology — a recognition of his outstanding technical expertise and innovative mindset. With a strong professional foundation, Eng. Lam plays a key role in developing and implementing core technology solutions that drive digital transformation in Vietnam. 

Eng. Ngo Sinh Nguyen

System Infrastructure (SI) Expert

Eng. Ngo Sinh Nguyen is a senior expert at the IDT Institute and currently serves as a System Infrastructure Engineer (SI) at Tri Nam Group JSC, with over 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure integration.

He is responsible for planning and managing IT infrastructure projects at both the IDT Institute and Tri Nam Group, providing technical support and coordinating the deployment of foundational systems that enable digital transformation.

With a sharp systems-oriented mindset and an innovative spirit, Eng. Nguyen continuously contributes to the digitalization of IT infrastructure at the IDT Institute and Tri Nam Group, helping to build a solid digital foundation for comprehensive transformation.
